—MAY 10, 2015

Ojai Youth Entertainers Studio (OYES) is overjoyed to be kicking off our 2nd Annual 20K in 20 Days Spring Fundraiser, May 10 – May 30, 2015.

OYES is a 501C3, not-for profit corporation, inspired by the need to make sure that kids have access to arts education, and the work we do plays a beautiful role in the entire Ojai Valley community.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP

Since January of 2012, OYES has welcomed over 17,000 audience members and over 600 students into our programs.   Recent production include, A Year With Frog and Toad, Into The Woods, Jr, and currently, Seussical, Jr!. Ticket sales and tuitions only cover about half of the budgetary needs of OYES. This is why we need your help to continue offering the arts community of the Ojai Valley these wonderful events and services.

Here at OYES, we love what we do, working with our students and creating each production from start to finish.  With consistent funding we are able to keep growing as an organization and an essential community resource for youth and adult performing arts programs.  To learn more about OYES visit www.ojaiyes.org.

Help us meet this challenge. Make your contribution today to OYES’ 20K IN 20 DAYS Spring Fund Drive.  www.gofundme.com/oyes2015

Because OYES is a 501C3 corporation, donations are completely tax deductible, so you can rest assured that you are helping your community AND getting a tax write-off! It’s a win-win-win. You win, OYES continues, and our local actors and musicians continue to be provided with the opportunity to learn and enjoy their craft.

Thank you for supporting OYES theatre!

OYES Announces Spring Fund Drive

April 10, 2014

20K in 20 Days!

The Ojai Youth Entertainers Studio is seeking much needed community support as they kick-off their 2014 Spring Fund Drive: 20K in 20 days! Their mission is to challenge, inspire, educate and entertain children and families in the Ojai Valley through the experience of quality theatre, dance, and music.

“OYES was inspired by the need to make sure that kids have access to arts education,” according to Artistic Director, Krista Kim, “but the work we do is plays a beautiful role in the entire Ojai Valley community.”

“Twenty thousand dollars in twenty days is a challenging goal,” Kim noted. “It’s actually about half of the funding the organization needs annually to keep the doors open and the staff paid. If there’s any small community in America that can pull together and help us meet this goal, it’s Ojai.”

Three times each year, OYES produces musical theater programs for kids. Past productions include Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, and Annie. Currently they are in rehearsal for Mulan Jr., but they also offer Technical Theater classes, upcoming summer camps, Youth Improvisation workshops, and a free community choir for kid.

OYES also offers programs for adults including the Ojai Valley Improv group who rehearse twice each week and perform on the first Saturday of every month. In addition, the senior choir, Rockin It Old School, meets weekly at OYES.

“Our tuitions and ticket sales only cover about half of our budgetary needs.” Kim explained. “We’re required to find that additional support from time to time, and right now we’re faced with a gap that must be filled.”

OYES will incorporate mail, phone calls, and social media to reach as many people as possible in the Ojai Valley during this critical fund drive. OYES is a 501©3, not-for profit corporation and donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the IRS tax code.

Those wishing to help OYES in their goal for 20K in 20 Days! Should visit their website at www.ojaiyes.org or call the offices at 805-646-4300.
